Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The check, the report and the what-if tools are free, with no sign-up. If you choose to talk to us about a loan and go ahead, the lender pays us commission (set out in our Credit Guide). You never pay us a fee.

What is an alt-doc (low-doc) loan?

A home loan for the self-employed that verifies income with BAS, business bank statements or an accountant’s letter instead of tax returns. They usually have a lower maximum LVR and a higher rate.

Which lenders do you check?

92 in total: 88 Australian banks and lenders — majors, customer-owned banks, online lenders and more — using the rates, LVR limits and residency rules they publish through Open Banking (data as of 27 Oct 2026), 2 non-bank lenders from their own published rate sheets, and 2 modelled specialist lenders. Rules lenders don’t publish, like time in job, are typical settings for each type of lender.

Will this affect my credit score?

No. We don’t run a credit check.
